David Haye believes Vitali?s era is over ? Boxing News

British heavyweight boxer David Haye believes WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko no longer is the best in the division. Haye, who has been campaigning to fight against Vitali Klitschko since his knockout victory over Dereck Chisora earlier this year, believes it is time for him to grab the title from Vitali.

?I always assumed he was quite a proud man and wanted to leave some sort of legacy behind, which he won?t do at the moment, because, can you think of any big fighters Vitali has fought?? said Haye in his recent interview.

?He?s had 50 fights against nobodies. The only fight of his that people remember is the one against Lennox Lewis ? which he lost,? he added.

?He needs a fight people will actually remember ? and the only recognised heavyweight out there is myself,? he added.

For now, Haye believes it is his time to get a shot at Vitali, to finally get a shot at the title. Haye has been campaigning to fight Vitali Klitschko forever now. He has already faced Vitali?s younger brother Wladimir Klitschko previously and has lost.

Now, Haye believes it is time for him to fight against Vitali to finally grab a title and cement his legacy in the division.

?David Haye, David Price and Tyson Fury are three big men with big digs and big question marks remaining over their durability. Add Dereck Chisora, rumoured to be re-applying for his British license, then pair any two in semi-finals with the victors to meet and determine the 'Don'. All would fill football stadiums,? said Haye?s promoter Frank Promoter in his column this week.

In other words, Haye is near to a title shot, only if he can prove himself. While Haye believes there is nothing left for him to prove in the division, Frank Warren believes he needs to defeat other contenders in order to get the top.

For now, Haye is all ready to get a match against Vitali, believing the Ukrainian fighter stands for nothing. For Haye, Vitali has always fought against inferior opponents which is not an achievement for a titan like him.

A CMS-driven web design Essex is best if you are looking at ...

?

Sometimes a basic web design Essex is not enough if you have an ever increasing business. For better return on investment, you must go for an advanced yet affordable web design which has a content management system in place, so that your website can keep growing and changing along with your business.

?

?

A website could be either static or dynamic. In a static web design Essex, there is no external database from which data is drawn and to edit any content of the webpage, you need to go into the code and modify it. These mostly are coded in HTML. This can be done using software like Front Page or Dreamweaver or you may have to ask your web design Essex team to do it for you. In any case, updating data is more tedious and costly. If you have a dynamic web design, then the data can be altered via a content management system which anyone can handle without needing to have any knowledge of code or web design software. Such websites use more complicated coding software like ASP and PHP.

?

?

The advantage of having a dynamic, content management system based website is that you as the administrator can update your website independently which reduces overall maintenance costs. Although, dynamic websites are more expensive to get designed, but on a long run it happens to be the more affordable web design amongst the two. But before you decide which option to go for, you must think about what is the scope of your business and how it could affect your website. For example, if you have a product which you plan to advertise on your website, and you have plans of making more variations in your product or introduce new ones, then you must go for a dynamic web design Essex so that you do not have to undertake extra costs to make every little change to your website. Similarly, if you are an artist wanting to showcase work, it is always a better idea to go for a dynamic design so that you can keep adding newer work.

?

?

An affordable web design is everyone?s concern so you must understand your business and then decide if you need a dynamic website or not. For example, if you have a company which basically offers a particular kind of service which is unlikely to change anytime soon, then you could easily make do with a static website. If you intend to just inform people about what your company does and where you are based at, then there is no need to have a dynamic design and waste money in getting that.

?

?

Another thing which web design Essex companies offer these days is to have half the website as static and half as dynamic. For example, you could have the ?about us? and the ?contact us? page as static since that is unlikely to change often, and have the product catalogue pages, etc as dynamic pages so that you can keep updating them. This is an affordable web design option somewhere in the middle of both the costs.

?

?

?

If your business is ever-expanding, then you should go for a dynamic web design Essex website. If you want an affordable web design you could go for a static website.

i've been pondering some self-improvement, but let's not call

SQUATLO RANT: I'VE BEEN PONDERING SOME SELF-IMPROVEMENT, BUT LET'S NOT CALL 'EM "RESOLUTIONS"...

Pages

I'VE BEEN PONDERING SOME SELF-IMPROVEMENT, BUT LET'S NOT CALL 'EM "RESOLUTIONS"...

??????????

Okay, so maybe I'm not exactly "perfect" in my current configuration.? But this "resolution" thing is taking it too far, in my opinion.

?????????? Every year we muddle along, putting on weight, ignoring our dental issues, letting household improvements slide, telling ourselves that THIS will be the fresh start we need to finally drop the pounds, clean out the garage, fix the roof, repaint the bedrooms, caulk the tubs, etc. etc. etc. and in the end, we punish ourselves for a week or two in early January, then revert to whatever got us into such sorry shape to begin with.

?????????? My resolution this year is to make no bullshit resolutions.? My lovely (and dangerous) wife, on the other hand, has already started carrying through on her threats to impose a new diet plan for the two of us.? I call her "cleansing" proposals a diet of brush and potpourri... and I've been subjected to this shit in the past.? It's not nearly as horrible as I pretend it is, but if I don't act sufficiently miserable she'll just keep ratcheting up the levels of bland roughage until we're actually surviving on twigs and sunflower hulls.

??????????? Sigh...

??????????? I prefer to make resolutions I can keep.? For instance, I'm perfectly willing to give up Brussel sprouts, boiled okra, gin, and going to church.? I already hate all of those things.? See how easy this is?

??????????? I can give up peanut brittle, coconut, wild women, and day trading, too.? Being a married man who never eats peanut brittle or coconut, who already HAS a wild woman, and who doesn't know a damn thing about the stock market helps with this series of sacrifices I'm willing to make.

?????????? But for Christ's sake, baby, don't tell me we can't have cheese, or hamburgers, or baked potatoes with butter, or cold beer!? Don't hide the sausage-cheese balls, or put the fudge in the freezer labeled as "asparagus".? Surely we can compromise!

?????????? Compromise... what a concept.? I read in the morning paper where Congressional leaders and our President are trying to pound out some kind of agreement to avoid a brush and potpourri diet of sequestration cuts and taxes... and I'm willing to bet those assholes have a better chance at reaching a happy medium than we do here at Chateau Squatlo.

?????????? If you come over to visit, please bring beer and something totally decadent to eat.

?????????? I'd do it for you...
????????

Zach Udko: The Top 10 Top 10 Lists of 2012

2012 was the year that was supposed to destroy us -- and it nearly did.

After surviving an unparalleled disaster that rocked us to our core (Lindsay Lohan in Liz & Dick), we pulled together as a nation of Thelmas and Louises, ready to boldly drive off the fiscal cliff together.

Now, as December draws to a close, our nation's critics and bloggers have once again generously given us their thoughts on the main cultural and newsworthy events of the year in the form of Top 10 lists. Since my earliest childhood, I have always been a sucker for these holiday treats, savoring the opportunity to measure the tastes of each scribe against my own.

These essential lists provide us with a sense of perspective, comfort and order. They fulfill a deeply spiritual need to make sense of our existences in the face of a cruel and capricious universe. As the Italian novelist Umberto Eco explains, "It's a way of escaping thoughts about death. We like lists because we don't want to die."

And so, in recognition of their enduring value, instead of offering my own Top 10 films, plays or books, I present to you my Top 10 Top 10 Lists of 2012. I hope that a close inspection of these items (varied in content, unparalleled in exuberance) helps you grapple with the incomprehensible as we begin to face new mysteries in 2013. Without further ado, these are the lists that fascinated and enlightened me this year:

10. Top 10 Most Disgusting Objects Allegedly Found in Fast Food (TheWeek.com)

The list that inspired me to learn how to cook.

9. (Tie) Top 10 Best Dressed at the Golden Globes (Vogue) and
Top 10 Worst Dressed at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards (Wetpaint.com)

Any list that places Tilda Swinton on top and Justin Bieber on bottom is one we need to talk about.

8. Top 10 Disturbing Products Derived From the Human Body (Listverse.com)

For teaching us that Soylent Green is no longer science fiction... in China, at least.

7. Top 10 Worst Grooming Mistakes (FoxNews.com with Men's Health)

The most insightful, significant and responsible piece of journalism from Fox News in a long time.

6. Top 10 Credenzas (Elle D?cor)

For alerting us to the harsh truth that you are nothing without a credenza. Nothing.

5. Top 10 Weirdest Animal Stories of 2012 (National Geographic)

We finally found a species that urinates out of its mouth. Thank you, National Geographic!

4. Top 10 Items From Oprah's New 'Favorite Things' List That We Actually Love (Business Insider)

Question: What could be better than the very best of anything Oprah?

3. Top 10 Worst Tweets of 2012 (Time magazine)

Answer: Reading a tweet from Oprah begging you to watch her network.

2. This list

Unfortunately, I missed out on the number one spot, which clearly had to go to...

1. Top 10 Mitt Romney Out of Touch Moments (ThinkProgress)

The most devastating and effective gag reel produced all year, featuring the GOP's number one mistake this election cycle.

Exclusive: Jim Jefferies talks fatherhood, stand-up tour, new show ...

By Laughspin Staff | December 26, 2012 at 1:48 pm | No comments | Audio/Video, feature slider, Interviews | Tags: fatherhood, fx, interview, jim jefferies, Laughspin Podcast, legit

For the better part of the last decade, Australian born, British bred comedian Jim Jefferies has endeared himself to dedicated fans of comedy with a taste for real-life, often X-rated stories. But come Jan. 17, when his series Legit (about a comedian desperately attempting life on the straight and narrow) premieres on FX, he will have opened up his raucous world to a decidedly larger group of comedy consumers. Throughout the show?s 13 episodes, Jefferies unravels many of the stories centered around family, friends and debauchery that he?s told onstage; in that way, this is truly a show ?based on the comedy of? the show?s creator.

The 30-minute, single-camera episodes promise to be funny but darkly so. DJ Qualls (Road Trip, Hustle & Flow) plays Billy, Jefferies? wheel chair-bound brother while Dan Bakkedahl (former Daily Show correspondent) plays Jim?s best friend Steve. Laughspin Podcast co-host Mike Gogel caught up with Jefferies recently to chat about Legit, becoming a new father, his plans for an upcoming stand-up comedy tour and much more! Check it out below and feel free to sound off in the comments section!

Be sure to check out all the Laughspin Podcast episodes here.

Stock index futures steady; budget talks eyed

PARIS (Reuters) - Stock index futures pointed to a steady Wall Street open, with S&P 500 futures down 0.11 percent, Dow Jones futures down 0.03 percent and Nasdaq 100 futures up 0.05 percent at 4.54 a.m. ET.

European shares were flat to slightly lower in early trade on Friday as investors waited to see if a deal to avoid the U.S. "fiscal cliff" would be reached before further boosting their exposure to equities. <.eu/>

President Barack Obama and lawmakers are launching a last-chance round of budget talks days before a New Year's deadline to reach a deal or watch the economy go off a "fiscal cliff." Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will meet congressional leaders from both parties at the White House on Friday at 3 p.m. EST.

On the macro front, investors awaited pending home sales data for November. Economists in a Reuters survey expect a 1.0 percent rise compared with a 5.2 percent gain in the previous month.

Investors in U.S.-based funds favored stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and emerging market equity mutual funds as the year wound down, data from Thomson Reuters' Lipper service showed on Thursday.

Satellite television provider DirecTV Group said its service fees would rise by an average of 4.5 percent in February due to increasing programming costs.

A Chinese court fined Apple 1 million yuan ($160,400) for hosting third-party applications on its App Store that were selling pirated electronic books, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Friday.

U.S. stocks fell for a fourth day on Thursday, but recovered most of their losses after the House of Representatives, in the barest sign of progress, said it would come back to work on avoiding the "fiscal cliff" this weekend.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.dji> slipped 18.28 points, or 0.14 percent, to 13,096.31 at the close. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.spx> declined 1.73 points, or 0.12 percent, to end at 1,418.10. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.ixic> dropped 4.25 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2,985.91.
